Packaging & Packaging Waste regulations:

The EU packaging waste regulations focus on ensuring that all parts of the packaging can be recycled. Due to the unique ferromagnetic properties of our circuits, they can be separated from existing waste streams using the magnets already in place at recycling centres, being removed with things like staples and other magnetic materials, preventing the contamination of the bulk of the packaging materials and making them compliant with changing legislation.

Extended Producer Responsibility:

In the UK, the legislative changes fall into the EPR regulations, by designing the circuits to be a removable insert that can be easily separated by hand – avoiding compromising the rating of the bulk of the packaging material. We will be arranging a return system for these circuits so that we can recycle and recover the valuable materials from them as part of demonstrating the circular potential of our technology.
